Bhagat Tarachand

At Sanpada, Navi Mumbai

As my Boards got over, I really wanted to try out a new restaurant. But alas, I soon realised that this time Navratri is on, so it has to be a Veg restaurant. Then I decided, why not try out a new branch of Bhagat Tarachand?!

Well, when we reached the place, there was already a huge crowd in the waiting area. Luckily, we got a seat at the AC hall as the non-AC hall was more crowded. The ambience was ok, just like a regular restro. There is a problem with car parking, though.

We had a Masala Papad first. As this restro is famous for its thalis, we ordered one. Along with the Thali, the other dishes ordered were Aloo Jeera, Dal Tadka, Veg Kolhapuri and Butter Kulchas.

For me, Aloo Jeera and Dal Tadka is a perfect combination to go with. Along, with the Butter Kulchas, it was just awesome. Dal Tadka was good but as Aloo Jeera was a bit cold, it ruined all the fun.

Veg. Kolhapuri - The one gravy dish that you must order when visiting Bhagat Tarachand. I really liked this one. It was a bit spicy and tasted great!

Now about the main attraction – Thali!! It had two gravy dishes (one was Paneer, of course!), Dal, Aloo Sabzi, Raita, two rotis, Pulao and a sweet dish. The Thali was just ok but was enough quantity for one person.

CONCLUSION:

Food: 3.5/5

Service: 4/5

Ambience: 3/5

TBFC's SCORE: 3.5/5

I may visit this place again if craving for veg food!
