At Chowk, Lucknow.
After my semester exams got over, I decided to visit Chowk with my friends. The day was Friday and we didn’t remember that Bada Imambada will be opened after 2 pm, as we went there too early. So, to kill the time, for lunch we decided to visit Raheem Hotel. Situated inside a very narrow lane, it is difficult to find this place.
The ambience is ok. The seating place is very small but they have seating on the upper floor too for the ladies and the kitchen is out in the opening. If you are visiting this place for the first time, then you should keep in mind that they don’t give menu cards at the table. So, decide what you want to eat or better ask the server himself.
We ordered Chicken Korma, Sheermal and Mutton Biryani.
Chicken Korma: It is a dish of chicken braised in a spiced sauce made with yoghurt, cream, nut or seed paste. There are various versions of this dish. The one I had here was amazing!
Sheermal: It is a saffron-flavoured flatbread. After so many years I had Sheermal and it was really nice.
Mutton Biryani: One of the most iconic dishes of Lucknow, this biryani was the best. The mutton was really soft and was great! Really recommended here.
The service was really quick! You’ll only have to wait for 5 minutes for your order to be served.
CONCLUSION:
Food: 4/5
Ambience: 2/5
Service: 4/5
TBFC's SCORE: 4/5
This is the place you should visit for having really nice Non-Veg dishes.
