Blue Tokai, Bangalore

At Koramangala 8th Block, Bangalore.

After having spent 3 great years in Lucknow & relishing its wonderful food, I shifted to Bangalore recently due to work. While we were busy finding accommodation in Koramangala, we stopped at Blue Tokai for Lunch and Coffee. The cafe is situated on the main road, opposite Bethany High School, thus making it easy to locate. The ambience of the place is very charming. Both outdoor and indoor seating is available. The place is lit up with plenty of natural lighting, thanks to the glass ceiling present in the middle portion of the cafe.

We ordered Marinated Grilled Chicken & Charred Peppers (Open Sandwich), Mediterranean Flatbread, Chicken & Cheese Sandwich, Vegan Waffles (Mango), Iced Mocha and Iced Cappuccino.

Marinated Grilled Chicken & Charred Peppers (Open Sandwich): Chicken marinated in Lemon and Herbs, Charred Red Peppers and a fragrant coriander pesto topped with fresh herbs and pistachios. The presentation of the dish was Fantastic! It was so beautiful that I didn’t want to ruin it by eating the whole dish. Anyways, the taste was wonderful. This was my first open sandwich and I totally loved it. I would recommend this dish to everyone.

Mediterranean Flatbread: Slow-roasted tomato pesto, grilled summer veggies and Feta cheese piled on top of a sourdough flatbread, topped with arugula and microgreens. Another wonderful platted dish. The flatbread was soft and tomato pesto went really well with the veggies.

Chicken & Cheese Sandwich: Chicken & Cheese on Milk Bread. A simple Chicken Cheese sandwich served along with Fries. An ultimate favourite for every Chicken sandwich lover.

Vegan Waffles (Mango): Served with Seasonal Fruits and Lemon Cashew Cream. This Waffle was a bit different from what I’ve been eating. Maybe it’s Vegan, that's why. Served with Lemon Cashew Cream and Mangos, it was a brilliant dessert for the day.

Iced Mocha: Espresso with Chocolate + Cold milk over Ice

Iced Cappuccino: Espresso blend with Ice, milk and Date Syrup

Both the Iced Coffees were good and I would totally recommend Iced Mocha here.

CONCLUSION:

Food: 4/5 Ambience: 4/5 Service: 4/5

TBFC's SCORE: 4/5

I would visit this place again and also recommend it for all the Coffee lovers out there. They use Indian coffee beans and serve beautifully platted tasty dishes, what else does anyone want!
