Chianti, Bangalore

At Vega City Mall, Bannerghatta Road, Bangalore.


On Sunday, I decided to start exploring Bangalore and visited Vega City Mall near my house. After roaming around, I, along with my family, visited Chianti for lunch. This Italian Speciality Restro is situated on the same floor as the Food Court. The ambience of the place is quite nice and elegant.


While we decided our order, we were served with Complementary ‘Make your own Chianti Bruschetta platter’. We ordered Gamberoni Aglio Olio E Peperoncino, Pollo Alla Griglia, Orange Mint Julet & Frozen Margarita (Mango)


Gamberoni Aglio Olio E Peperoncino: Fresh Baby Tiger Prawns toasted with Garlic, Olive Oil & Spicy Peperoncino. The platting of this starter was so beautiful that we didn’t want to ruin it by eating it. But we couldn’t stop ourselves and finally had a taste. For me, this is, hands down, the best Prawn starter I’ve ever had! I would really like to recommend this dish to all seafood lovers.


Pollo Alla Griglia: When in an Italian Restro, it is mandatory to order a Pizza. The one we ordered consisted of BBQ Chicken, Olive Oil, Tomato Sauce & Fresh Mozzarella. Thin Crust, amazing & generous toppings, what can you ask for!


Orange Mint Julet: It is an Orange Mocktail consisted of Orange Juice & Mojito Base ingredients.


Frozen Margarita (Mango): This drink is a MUST have here. It is a Mango flavoured Slush with Margarita accompaniments and trust me, you’ll love it as much as we did. Very refreshing!


Piatto Di Carne E Pesce – This consisted of all the best starters of this place. A heavenly platter for every Non-Veg lover.


Pollo Del Chianti – Perfect Grilled Chicken cooked in Cream, Mushroom & Smoked Cheese served with Vegetable Ragu & Mashed Potatoes.


Salmone Alla Griglia – Grilled Salmon with Lemon, Capers & Butter Sauce served on a bed of Crushed Potato & Creamy Spinach.


Pollo Al Ripieni – Chicken Breast stuffed with Mozzarella, Asparagus, Sage sauteed in Olive Oil and served with Rosemary Potatoes.


A brief review of the main course dishes: All the three dishes we ordered were appetizing and wonderfully platted too. The portions were very good as well.

The service was very quick & spot-on!
