The Globe Grub, Bangalore

At BTM, Bangalore.

After searching Zomato for a buffet place in BTM, I planned to visit this place for lunch with my sister. The Globe Grub can be easily found as it is situated on Bannerghatta Road just beside Vega City Mall.

The ambience of the place is amazing. The colourful theme of the restaurant brings out a happy and cheery mood. As you enter this restro, you’ll instantly spot various stations placed for every course, be it starters, mains and desserts, momos etc. Now let’s move onto the main part – Food.

As we opted for Non-Veg, here’s what we got in the starters.

Mutton Seekh Kebab: I’m not a fan of Seekh Kebabs but the mutton seekh served here was good in taste. Seekh kebab lovers will love it.

Shikari Tangdi Kebab: Who doesn’t love Tangdi kebabs? They are always awesome, no matter where you have them.

Dum ki Machhi Patriwali: As I love seafood, this fish was my favourite among all the starters. It was served in wrapped banana leaf and tasted great. Soft and delicious.

Honey Chilli Chicken Wings: These were ok. It was way too saucy to my liking.

Prawns in Hot Basil Sauce: Another seafood starter but it tasted ok.

Smoked Chicken & Bell Pepper Pizza: Thin crust pizza with generous toppings. What’s not to like?

Mongolian Style Chicken Dimsum: I can have Dimsums all day every day. These Chicken dim sums were so good I really wanted to have another go but remembered that the main course is still left!

For beverage, we had Masala Soda, which helped us to digest all the dishes we had!

After having so many of the starters, I tried to have only particular dishes from the Main Course. Having an amazing spread of dishes, I had only Butter Chicken & Murgh Dum Biryani.

What I really love about Butter Chicken served in the Southern part of India is that they are not too sweet like the ones made in the North. Here, this dish was really good. I had this along with Dum Biryani and the combination was amazing. The biryani was also good.

Now, for desserts, I had only a few ones from the vast spread. Here’s what I had;

Strawberry Swiss Rolls: These rolls tasted nothing like strawberry. Even though they were moist and soft, it looked like the only pink colour was added for the show.

Mango Mousse: One of the worst mousse I’ve had. Tasted nothing like mango but instead tasted sugary syrup type sweet.

The Walnut Brownie was ok and so was the Kiwi Tart. Shahi Tudka was way too hard to eat and sweet too.

The service for starters was really quick. Kudos to the servers here.

CONCLUSION:

Food: 3/5 Ambience: 4/5 Service: 4.5/5

TBFC's SCORE: 3.5/5

If are finding a place to have a proper family lunch buffet in BTM, then this place is the one you should visit.
