At Hoshangabad Road, Bhopal.
As my dad is currently posted in Bhopal, my family shifted there after spending a few years in Delhi. So I visited the City of Lakes for the first time and man, this place is so cool! I loved the lakes and hilly environment of the city.
One day we decided to have dinner somewhere in Bhopal and just opposite our society, I saw Twist of Tadka. I always wanted to visit this restaurant by Chef Harpal Singh and I finally got the chance.
Situated along the main road, this place is easy to spot. The ambience is very cool and will give you ‘Punjabi restro’ vibes. This is a pure vegetarian restaurant and I don’t tend to visit vegetarian restros much. But I was having high hopes for this one. So, here’s what we ordered;
Saunth Chutney Wale Karare Aloo, Gobi Chaat ke Pichke Pakode, Kadhai Jeera Aloo, Hing Jeera Lasooni Toor Tadka, some Garlic Naan & Rice.
Gobi Chaat ke Pichke Pakode: Cauliflower and Mashed Potato pakodas served with Tamarind Chutney. I had these Gobhi ke pakode for the first time and didn’t expect it to be sooo good! What an amazing start!
Saunth Chutney Wale Karare Aloo: Who doesn’t like Chutney wale Aloo? The ones served here was in very good quantity and it was tasty too.
Kadhai Jeera Aloo: A slight twist to the normal Jeera Aloo. This dish also had capsicum, tomato and onion. Forms a great combo with Hing Jeera Lasooni Toor Tadka, which was also good by the way.
The service was ok here.
CONCLUSION:
Food: 4/5 Ambience: 4/5 Service: 2/5
TBFC's SCORE: 3.5/5
Another amazing Vegetarian restaurant I discovered and would love to visit again! Kudos to Chef Harpal!
